Overview:
A Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for the installation and commissioning phase of LSI projects. Additionally, work will occasionally also encompass responsibilities in supporting the Systems Engineering group with layouts and manuals during the sale phase.
 
A PE works closely with Project Engineering Coordinator (PEC) in daily planning, executing and reporting project deliveries.

Requirements:
 
  • Proven system design experience
  • Degree in Engineering, electrical engineering is a plus
  • Complementary training or experience as a construction manager is a plus
  • Highly proficient in English. (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
  • +3 years experience working with installations
  • Willing to relocate to (if not already residing in) Madrid

General Duties:
  • Overall
    1. Manages and supports on a day to day suppliers and customer installation needs
    2. Permanent communication flow with the Project Management and System Engineer specialists designated to the project
    3. Continuously seeks improvements through lessons learned from processes during installation, commissioning and acceptance phases and addresses them to the Engineering and Project Management department.
    4. Focuses on quality and safety
    5. Leads by example
  • Execution Phase
    1. Responsible for onsite work from mechanical and electrical installation to commissioning. It means:
      • Supplier management during contract delivery
      • Validates civil works, coordinates and supervise the erection of warehouses structures, machinery and interconnection wiring.
      • Manages PLC and Software integration.
      • Responsible for onsite safety
    2. Trains service groups prior handover of projects
    3. Leads CE certifications
    4. Builds user manuals
    5. Guarantees a successful testing and handover according to the contract budget and schedule
  • Sales Phase
    1. Supports SE team in design, layouts, supplier quotes etc… in periods with low site work requirements
